OUR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY(CSR)

Our policy is to look for talent within the local workforce to help improve the community and ensure we're getting the potential manpower we need.

A four-part conceptualization of our CSR includes the idea that the corporation has not only economic and legal obligations but also ethical and discretionary (philanthropic) responsibilities.

Our CSR activities in 2019, majorly focused on three pillars:

Education, Culture, and Sports
Health and Medical care
Water, Sanitation, and Environment

1. EDUCATION, CULTURE AND SPORTS

We are dedicated to sharpen, improve the understanding and reasoning capacity of the school children. We contribute by creating a good classroom environment for learning, equip educators and community workers to develop the knowledge and tools to teach and practice a sustainable way of life.

The children are progressing well with the SBC Chess Programme.

We all live in a community and sports is one of the few better ways to strengthen community bonding.
"Sport is about creating a sense of community and common purpose" - the very reason why SBC Supported Kigaaga, Nyamasoga & Kabaale Football and Netball Sports Teams.

2. WATER, SANITATION AND ENVIRONMENT

We are committed to the quality of life of communities by enhancing the social and economic impact, the quality of Water and Sanitation while preserving and advancing environmentally sustainable growth. As a development partner in Hoima, our CSR is aligned with community needs. We continue to listen to our stakeholders during formal and informal dialogue throughout the year.

3. HEALTH AND MEDICAL CARE

Hon. Dr. Florence Asiimwe Minister of Social Affairs and Education Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom and officials from Buseruka Health Centre III.

We continue to support and work together with different Government arms to mitigate the risks to health by bridging the gap created due to limited resources in the Health Sector.

4. COMMUNITY & ENVIRONMENT

We enhance economic development and protect the environment by availing communities surrounding Kabaale International Airport with fruit seedlings and commercial trees.

5. ORPHANAGE

Mustard seed babies home is home to children that have been rescued and provided with a loving refuge, an opportunity to complete their education and the promise of a better future. The home offers them a haven and a family to which they belong.
