Doing Good :  20152016, 2017, 2018

DOING GOOD (Good Deeds Days) is a global SBI annual programme. During the month of March, all SBI Staff worldwide unite to give back to the Communities, in the Countries where we have presence. This is in addition to other different Corporate Social Responsibility activities we maintain on a regular basis. SBI/RCC Uganda's initiative on Doing Good Day (Good Deeds Day) is to touch an unlimited number of peoples regardless of where they are. Some other Organisations we have supported include:

HOME CARE FOR WOMEN & YOUTH ORGANISATION

Home Care for Women & Youth Organisation is a Non-Government Organisation located 11 kilometres on Gayaza Road in Wakiso district. It was established with the goal of equipping Women and Youth with quality practical vocational skills that are responsive to the local and national needs to address the alarming level of unemployment in Uganda thereby improving their standards of living.

The practical skills that the women And youth acquire include; tailoring, computer training, baking & cookery, counselling and guidance. We donated 10 "SINGER" brand Sewing Machines, 20 Chairs and 5 large tailoring/bakery work tables.

DWELLING PLACES ORGANISATION

Dwelling Places is a registered Non Government Organisation established in August 2002 by Rita and William Nkemba. The Organisation is dedicated to rescuing vulnerable children (mainly from the Streets of Kampala City) and rehabilitating them through the Restore & Rebuild Programs.

We at SBI/RCC Uganda felt we should support the organisation in uplifting the plight of these children and expand their horizon during their stay and after Dwelling Places. SBI/RCC donated 70 Pairs of School shoes, 70 School Bags, an 8,000 Water Tank and a range of scholastic materials.

LITTLE LIGHT CHILDREN'S CENTRE

(LLCC) is a self-help centre, run by the community located in Namuwongo - Kampala.

The Centre provides free education, food and day shelter to hundreds of children from the Namuwongo slum as well as their families with an intention of making their lives better and in turn nurturing them into responsible citizens. The Centre was in a poor state and they needed assistance to repair the dilapidated classroom floors and drainages, to re-unblock water flow system, and to repaint the dull and old looking walls of the premises at the Centre.

Thus SBI/RCC Uganda donated to brightening the centre by carrying out major renovations at the centre, provided breakfast and lunch nutrition for the children through out the term, provided fire extinguisher to keep safe the centre and provided a tarpaulin shade for the children's play area.
