Doing Good : 2015, , 2017, 2018 Good Deeds Day was initiated in 2007 by businesswoman and philanthropist, Shari Arison. She believes that, "if people will think good, speak good and do good, the circles of goodness will grow in the world". And as part of the Arison Group, SBI Uganda's initiative on Good Deeds Day is to touch an unlimited number of peoples regardless of where they are. LITTLE LIGHT CHILDREN'S CENTRE (LLCC)Little Light works mainly to impact women, children and the youth of Namuwongo slums of Kampala. – The vulnerable group in that area. LLCC started operating in the slums of Namuwongo in 2007 under the collaboration of Israeli and Ugandan volunteers with a vision to provide education to the needy slum children who would otherwise not have education at all. UGANDA SCHOOL FOR THE DEAFThe Uganda School for the Deaf (USD) is the first school for the Deaf in Uganda; established with the primary task to cater for the education, interests and special needs of the Deaf and Deafblind children in Uganda. It brings together all categories of deaf children including deaf & blind and children with multiple disabilities from the ages 4 - 16 years. Upon admission, they are then introduced to basic sign language, and practical skills such as; mat making, weaving, cookery, knitting, hand sewing, machine sewing, crocheting, carpentry, computer training – ICT, home science and agricultural practice. Some of the "Come True" children with Lea Forshtat, Co-founder. Become - under the "Come True" Project partnered with Trinity Schools in Uganda to offer quality primary & secondary education to the South Sudanese children; that were formerly asylum seekers in Israel, to allow them to continue to study and fulfill their dreams within their new lives.
